MYTHBUSTERS – White Men Are The Biggest Cheaters?

I have heard countless Black women cite choosing to date outside of their race partially because black men are cheaters.

I’ve also heard the argument made, usually to those women by bm-identified black women and black men, that actually, White men are the biggest cheaters.

So who’s right and who’s wrong?

Luckily, someone did a scientific study!

General Social Survey(GSS) collected some data and has the answer to the hotly debated question of who cheats more?

Now, thanks to the data, we know that men cheat more than women: 20% of men and 13% of women reported that they’ve had sex with someone other than their spouse while married.

We can also clearly see that as men get older they are more likely to cheat, while women are less likely to cheat as they get older.

Interestingly, women are only slightly more likely to cheat than men (by 1%) when thy are in the 18-29 year old category.

But what about when we look at cheating by demographics such as race?

Which type of man is the worst when it comes to fidelity and honoring the sanctity of marriage? White men, Asian men, Hispanic men?

According to the stats, the winner goes to Black men (22%) –  White men came in at 16%, and Hispanic men at 13%.

Look, no one is saying White men are saints. I mean, we’ve all heard about the countless scandals of successful White business owners, politicians, and celebrities, (ahem, Donald Trump and Bill Clinton) stepping out on their women.

But married Black men win at the cheating game.

Then we have to bear in mind that the number of black men getting married to begin with is a lot less than other races of men, so who knows how many of those guys are cheating on their girlfriends.

One can only assume if they step out on their WIVES more than other men that their girlfriends won’t get treated any better.

What do you guys think? Sound off below!

Two Dope Queens both date Interracially – That’s DOPE!

I don’t have HBO because I don’t care for any of the shows (Insecure included. Sorry, Issa, but it’s just too ratchet for my taste… and where’s White Jay?).

Thankfully, HBO knows all black women aren’t the same and has allowed two other black women, Jessica Williams & Phoebe Robinson ( AKA Two Dope Queens) to get the spotlight on their platform.

I haven’t seen the show, which airs Fridays at 11:30pm – but apparently you can watch the first episode for free here –

However, I have seen a clip where one of the queens was talking about being in an interracial relationship with her “white bae” and him complimenting her edges. Funnily enough, I have learned that both dope queens have been with White bae’s. The fact that they talk about this in their books, podcasts, interviews, etc. is a great thing because they are mainstream and it just lets WM know regular BW are open… and open more regular BW’s eyes to the idea.

Celebrate Your Interracial Love This Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s day is next week. Ah, love is in the air! Do you know what you’re getting your boo?

If not, here’s one options:

#1 – Greeting cards for the interracial couple at started by a black woman, Tineka, and her white husband, Alex who couldn’t find any cards that reflected their interracial relationship. So they started their own company.

From their website:

Huetribe is a multicultural and LGBTQ greeting card line which addresses the gaps of racial, cultural and sexual representation in the greeting card market. We believe the world is a colourful place and greetings cards should be too!

When Alex gave Tineka a card with penguins on it – because it was the only greeting card with a ‘black and white couple’ he could find – Tineka knew she had to do something about it. She quickly discovered that she wasn’t alone, and that finding interracial greeting cards, as well as LGBTQ cards, was a difficulty among her friends and family as well. And so the idea of Huetribe was born!

How great is that? Now, I’d probably suggest thinking of something else to accompany the card (like a dinner, show, or even chocolates) but don’t underestimate the power of a thoughtful greeting card with a heart felt message to your boo!

Are Men Taking Women’s Last Names Now?

Um, when did Zoe Saldana get married to an Italian man named Marco Perego -ex professional soccer player who looks a lot like Salt Bae-, and push out three kids (2 of them are twins… speaking of, why does every older celebrity woman have twins nowadays)?

Apparently Zoe’s hubby even took Zoe’s last name! And a lot of people have something to say about it.

Now, I am of the opinion that a woman doesn’t have to take her husband’s last name, especially when she’s worked so hard to get that name recognized as Zoe has. I wouldn’t think anything of Zoe keeping her name and her husband keeping his name – I guess it gets a little odd when kids enter the picture though.

Will they get the dad’s name and if so, then your kids have a different last name than you. Or will they get their mom’s name? Then the dad gets to look like the step dad. It definitely gets complicated.

But a man taking his wife’s last name just seems a bit emasculating. It doesn’t help that Zoe seems like the super strong, masculine, dominant type. I mean, case in point: passersby said Zoe was yelling at her hubby in public in the below picture (it sure looks like it’s true).

What say you guys? Would you ever let your husband take your last name? How do you feel about the whole we’re married, now change your last name matter?

Venus Williams follows in Serena’s Swirling footsteps

Sis Venus said forget about these BM who were clowning her and her sister, Serena (calling them manly, too muscular), and not on their level (*cough* Common). They are checking for White men – down with the swirl – on the loving bandwagon, whatever you want to call it.

Apparently, following in her younger sister’s footstep, Venus (37) has a millionaire boyfriend (Nicholas Hammond, 25) and they are head over heels in love. People have speculated that they are even engaged as she was spotted in the airport rocking what looked like a ring full of diamonds (the pair has been dating for a few months)

You have to love how these ladies are out here living their best lives with seemingly quality men.

But of course the detractors are out there saying that the only reason these two are with their men is because they want to secure light skinned, “good haired” babies. Like it’s so hard to love a good looking, accomplished, ambitious, loving man.

Go ahead, Venus and Serena. Brush your shoulders off and keep winning.
