Midweek Missed Connection – Someone is Always Watching

You’ve probably heard “You never know who’s falling in love with your smile”. I like to say “While you are busy doing whatever it is you do, someone could be watching you! ”

See this week’s midweek missed connection post to see what I mean.

From Craigslist

EUHM you had your hair curly today – m4w (atlanta)

Date: 2011-04-29, 8:00PM EDT

You are a very beautiful slim tall black woman. I always make sure we are facing each other when we eat but some distance apart. Today you had your hair curly and you looked awesome. I am a white guy doing work there and would like to know you. I ususally wear tan shirts with the company logo. I believe you work in the Glen Building. Let’s get to know each other.

THE TAKEAWAY: That’s why it is so important to always look your best, comport yourself accordingly and most crucial – open your eyes (or in some people’s cases get your nose out of a newspaper/book or step out of your comfort zone by eating alone and/or joining a stranger for lunch)!

I’ve actually become intrigued by “missed connections” thanks to you. I find it fascinating how far some people will go when they really like someone or is attracted to them. I’ve been reading some of them from my city. Some are not so cute and romantic but the few are very sweet 🙂
My city is sort of small, so I know almost all the places that the men speak of when they spot these women lol. I sometimes feel like going to these places and saying, “look he likes you…so?” In this town, you’re most likely going to bump into these people again. Too small for me, that’s why I’m making a move. I enjoy these post…thanks for the smiles.

Lol. Maybe one day you’ll run across one intended for you!

I find them fascinating too, and sometimes wonder if folks should wear a button on their tote bags or jackets that says “I Read Missed Connections”. Then at least if that shy guy/gal is so inclined at least there’d be a great chance of connecting.

Yes. A few of the men here, that post on “missed connections” actually post about women who work in certain businesses or maybe just a grocery store and I know exactly where these stores and places are. I really felt like going and showing these women, that a man is interested in them….match maker! Lol (joking)

Why dont these men speak to these women when they have the chance? I mean this guy in the post sees this bw frequently in the same spot, yet he will not say anything to her? Come on guys.

I’m guessing like most of them, they fear rejection. The media has damaged the images of bw. Look at the super bowl commercial, they make bw appear jealous, angry, bitter, and loud. That would scare any man, BUT a real man would know that all bw don’t behave like that.
